In June 2013, we conducted an online survey about Sydney’s bike stores – and we discovered the good, the bad and the downright ugly!
Click here if you want to read some of the responses to the survey…. very interesting reading!
Based on your responses, Sydney’s top five bike stores for female cyclists are:
1st Omafiets – 117B Addison Rd, Marrickville (on Agar St)
2nd Clarence St Cyclery, women’s store – 118 Clarence St, Sydney
3rd Cheeky Transport – 3A Georgina St, Newtown
4th Equal – Liv/Giant – 230 Clarence St, Sydney
Equal – Turramurra Cyclery – 1366 Pacific Highway, Turramurra
In second place is the city’s Clarence St women’s store which started in 2010 as Sydney’s first women’s specific cycling.
Third place went to Cheeky Transport in Newtown which opened in 1999 and encourages people to use bikes simply to get around.
These stores received consistently positive comments in the survey and were identified as being good, helpful stores to visit. So we think they deserve a mention!
